A One Year Old Cowboy

My Oma sure is glad she got some pictures of me in my boots the other day 'cause when my mommy puts them on now, I shake my feet until they fall off! They don't know how clever I am, actually. And now that I know there are sweets in the world, I may not be so agreeable with those green veggies that they feed me! Love, Olice

These Boots Weren't Made for Crawlin'

Remember Susannah's present? I've been waiting a long time to be able to fit into those boots!!






And now they almost fit!!

Well, I may not be walking yet but I can sure get around and pull myself up on everything. Maybe, with these boots, I'll really WANT to walk - or run. I sure hope these pretty weeds will still be blooming in front of my house when I do!! I've already got my sun hat, as you can see.

Guess you could say these boots are still more for show than anything else but my mom won't be leaving them on the shelf if they fit when I start walking! I've got a couple of good strong legs here!!

P.S. I can say "Oh Oh" when I drop something now and I can wave (usually AFTER someone leaves). I've got four teeth like my cousin Daniel and I'm working on putting my arms up to show people that I'm "So Big"... They don't call me preemie anymore - no way - I'm on my way to being a full-sized toddler cowboy now!!

We gave Dixie a bath the other day and G Money loves to help. It sure was entertaining for Heavy D as well.

Olice doesn't usually get changed on the dining room table but, no matter where it's done, he's hard to keep him down. It wouldn't be quite as bad except that he has no fear; the edge of the table or bed therefore holds no meaning for him. At least when he is trying to crawl away we get to see his cute naked butt. Next time I blog him will be his one year birthday pictures! Ahhh!

Ok ya'll...I miss you guys! I know you are having Shin's surprise baby shower tonight and I'm sad I can't be there to look at all the cute baby stuff and oooh and ahhh and rub her round belly. I just wanted you to know I was thinking about you...please post some pictures so I can enjoy them before S and T get home!!

It's True! Schelyn's Really Pregnant!!

The first day that Schelyn and Todd arrived, his parents joined Dot and Ray and the rest of us for what we call 'Dutch Lunch'. It's not really dutch but sometimes when I bake bread, we make a meal of it - with toppings and sides. You know. Anyway, it's been so fun to see the sisters together and everyone's reaction to Olice. Pretty soon it'll be YOUR baby, Schelyn, that will be the star attraction!!

Ok, these just make me giggle. I need to learn how to turn off the red-eye reduction flash on the camera because all those lights just make Heavy D blink! As cute as it is, I do want to get some shots of his sweet eyes.

Olice likes his Uncle Thomas, too!

Thomas likes it when Olice comes over. He keeps saying: "He's so little."

I have to agree (in some ways) but then I go back to the old blogs and see the 2 pound baby and I'm reminded of how far this kid has come.

He's way too agreeable for his own good, I must say. I don't know what Nancy's doing but it's good. This kid will sit in the playpen for an hour with a pot and metal measuring cups!! Eventually he'll complain that he wants to get out and crawl again but he's so laidback.

What greater joy is there than to sit and watch a little baby's mind, don't you all agree?
