ideas please?!?!

Okay guys... so i wanted to ask your opinions... We have a couple of ideas for the kitchen, but we can't decide what to do! Should we, A. paint the paneling "lis creme" and the cabinets & the trim "antique white" and the ceiling "crystal aqua" or leave the cabinets wood, and paint the paneling, trim & ceiling any of those combinations? Just wondering what yall thought!

Okay, so. Paint, paint, paint you mother-painter! Don't delay. First things first, the window dressing HAS to go! (what IS that, a used apron??) Then, go light. Whatever you do, don't leave anything wood, in my opinion. Based on that picture, your kitchen just looks really dark. You could paint the paneling first and see if that is enough light, but I would not hesitate to attack those cabinets with a paint brush. You could paint the cabinets a funky color if you wanted to (red...yellow...). Also, change the hardware, just go to target or somewhere and buy some cheap knobs and pulls. Or check out garage sales and antique stores and mix'n'match for fun. You can pull off anything, Dan! -Shin

thanks shinny :) I think we are definitely going to end up painting everything eventually... it's just a matter of getting it done in the time frame we want to! I have a shower at the house June 2nd, so i would really like to have it "done" by then. I will check out Target too.
Oh, the white pottery was Evelyn's (the widow). Someone bought most of it in the sale, but don't worry, i have lots of WS white everyday stuff! I can't wait to get it in there!

If we have the whole France team meet at your house, we can pull it off before your shower! Or just the Baker Crowd! Your dad is the painter extraordinaire - just give us the colors and the brushes and we'll attack. But choose your own colors and don't let anyone change your mind - look what Nancy did in arranging her wedding style!! Love you lots - TR (a.k.a. Oma or Mom)

I think blue ceiling too definitely and white cabinets. Those cabinets are so ugly. They can only get better from here!
