Got Another Blogspot Going!

Because we've had such a burden to teach little girls to crochet, Cheryl Foster and I have started with 5 new little ladies - and something else to spur them on: their very own blogspot!
www.halfknits.blogspot.com

So far I've only put one 'event' on there but watch this spot for some neat stuff!! Between the two of us grandmothers, we can keep up with this bunch and each other. What a joy!

These sweaters are for the Guideposts Sweater Program and will go to needy children in orphanages around the world. They were made by the last group of stitchers (our graduates?) and I admit they are not perfect but they are all complete!! Our newest girls (the beginners) are working on preemie hats for the hospital - also a worthwhile cause and a good use of idle hours!!

If you have a finished project that you have done, take a picture and send it. If it's worth stitching, it's worth blogging!! And don't throw away any of those bits of yarn either - we could use it!!

When we picked up our boys from the orphanage the baby, Beckett, had on hand knitted booties that had been donated by a local group. They were bright ORANGE and YELLOW! and of course he was wearing pink (every pic I had ever gotten of him had him wearing pink!) so it wasn't the best fashion statement... but it kept his toesies warm! So I appreciate you knitting (or half-knitting) things for the orphanages :)
