Our "Ladies' Man", Red
Four Generations here when Oom Dirk visited
Thanks so much for stopping by on your way from Mississippi, Dirk! We were all blessed by your visit and can't wait to hear more as you take yet another trip across the Atlantic on the QMII - this time to make a permanent move to Holland with Tante Tini! You will both miss New Bern, NC but you will love being so close to so many of your grandkids!!

The Green Truck Goes Out for a Spin
Thomas was home for the weekend (thanks to Jordan being in town for her brother & dad's birthdays). He decided to take the old green truck to the library to study. Thomas would rather not have this tool box on the back, and the truck's still lacking some of the chrome bits, but it won't take long to finish it off nicely (they tell me this anyway!) In any case, it sounds really neat and is a fun ride to be sure; Jordan will love sitting on the avocado-green bench seat with her 'man'!! Enjoy... (This Chevy's a 1970, by the way - for anyone who wants to know such particulars.)
The fence job is coming along...
Antonio and Ken got all the boards up for the back of the garden last weekend
Here's Ken walking around to the left corner of the house to work on that piece today.
The top of each fence section will be cut into a curve shape similar to our neighbor's existing fence.
The views from inside the garden.
The view that people will see if they enter by this future gate. We plan to box out the bottom of the screened porch to store lawn equipment. Anyway, Beau will like having a place to prowl in, we think.
The Valentine's Frog Balloon is Sleeping...
Olice was over the other day and naturally I hadn't thrown out the Valentine's balloon until he'd gotten a chance to play with it. Needless to say, it wasn't long before the string got ripped off and the frog sailed to the ceiling. (Good thing it was the kitchen ceiling which is considerably lower than some of the others in the house.) Anyway, Olice, with his VIVID imagination (he's a story teller like his Oma, I can tell) said: "My frog is sleeping on the ceiling." WE thought it was funny, anyway (typical grandparent reaction, of course!) Needless to say, we just LOVE having a few grandbabies closeby - and we LONG to see the others in Colorado in less than a month! Go, Schelyn - can't wait to meet your little girl.
