Got Another Blogspot Going!

Because we've had such a burden to teach little girls to crochet, Cheryl Foster and I have started with 5 new little ladies - and something else to spur them on: their very own blogspot!

So far I've only put one 'event' on there but watch this spot for some neat stuff!! Between the two of us grandmothers, we can keep up with this bunch and each other. What a joy!

These sweaters are for the Guideposts Sweater Program and will go to needy children in orphanages around the world. They were made by the last group of stitchers (our graduates?) and I admit they are not perfect but they are all complete!! Our newest girls (the beginners) are working on preemie hats for the hospital - also a worthwhile cause and a good use of idle hours!!

If you have a finished project that you have done, take a picture and send it. If it's worth stitching, it's worth blogging!! And don't throw away any of those bits of yarn either - we could use it!!

What to do at the office on a VERY slow Friday???

Well, sometimes it is fun to stage a meeting just to pretend to yourself and others that you are busy. Today, William G. Bragdon of our adjacent office, A.G. Edwards came over to sit down with Danielle Gibbs and discuss some serious federal funding issues on his mind...

Okay, so really we just sit around and shoot the breeze on Friday afternoons... but i think I'm going to sneak outta here a little early now!

"Dita!"

These days, when you ask Mr. Olice to tell you his name, he emphatically points to his chest and says, "Dita!". Should you then say, "No, I think your name is Olice," it is likely that he will grin at you again and say "Dita!" again.

Another fun thing to watch is Dita saying "An-yan" (translated, All Done) over and over to express that he would like to get down from the table. Only, An Yan doesn't really mean that he is all done. In fact, today he said An Yan over and over between shoving fist fulls of raisins into his mouth. Pretty cute.

The youngest of the Baker clan revealed

On Tuesday the Fisher Family found out they are going to have a girl this Summer! Hurrah. The expected date of delivery, and by that I mean we have scheduled it, is June 11th! Here are some of her first glamour shots. Her face, her profile, and (sorry, Baby Girl) the female parts.

Jim wanted me to tell everyone that he just doesn't get enough coverage and would like to set out on his own. Until he figures it out, though he said I could post these pictures of him with the mini stocking that I made him. (Little does he know that Danielle might confiscate it for one of her and Will's future kids.) No, they don't have baby news to tell - just Erika and Nancy right now!! Focusing on Grandbaby #6

Last night the Baker's (5 of us and Jim Harget) and the Fisher's (9 of them) got together to eat some delicious cake to announce the sex of Olice's upcoming sibling.


Naturally O was excited but not as much as all of these other relatives (and his parents). Anyway, he still thinks we came over to watch HIM doing all his new moves like walking..

Since I've been forbidden to blog pictures of the inside of the cake, let me at least show you the top which was written in purple letters (because that color's a mix of blue and red.)

Hopefully Nancy will transfer, find and post other pictures some time today. Until then, if you can't stand the wait, give me a call - I've not been forbidden to TELL anyone

Our boy is Walking!

Well, you might notice at first that Olice's bear is getting treated a little better than Yellow Bear has in the past few days. Although now Yellow Bear is probably cleaner. The picture of Olice on the hearth shows his "spot". He loves to sit on this hearth. I think it's just the right heighth.






Olice learned to walk last week. All of him and Reid's vigorous training sessions finally paid off. We are so proud. We even got him to walk in his cowboy boots which was extremely entertaining. The heel on the back made it look like he was three sheets to the wind. He already looks so much older now that he is walking.

Even Yellow Bear, though not sick himself, was a victim of the illness this morning as G lost it on him. He needed a bath anyway.

E and B were over it yesterday, but this morning when I went in to get G he said, "Look mommy, I puked on my bed." I said, "Honey, you need to tell me when you do this." To which he replied, "I just told Yellow Bear about it."

Last summer, after over seven years, we went back to the site of our wedding for the first time since May 8, 1999. It was really neat to see the place with so many fond memories of that day spent with our closest friends and family.
