New House, New House

We're getting closer! Only 3 1/2 weeks left until we close on our cute little cottage! Here's our "before" picture... it might stay this way for a while, but hopefully we can start to put our personal touches on slowly! Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement that we are moving right along with the home purchase! woo hoo!

The East Coasters Rule!!

At least, that's what I'm told! But Schelyn, it's not too late to have twins or even triplets in order to add numbers more quickly to the West Coasters' meager count of 6 (we have 8, right - but really only 6 if you don't count the parents).

Here are a couple of pictures of last night's dinner (to celebrate Ken and my departure with Teddy for the next 6 weeks). Don't you just love that Dot and Ray - they sure love Olice!!

Love you all - Oma Marijke

Oma,
I'm adding these shots per your request. :) They are some of my favorites that Stacy took last month. (www.stacyricharsonphotography.com)
I know many of you already saw some of them on her blog, but I thought I'd add some to ours. ;)
Love you guys!!

Watch Out, Olice...

I'm catching up to you, cousin. I like to sit in this thing for hours...well, it seems like hours to me. I don't know my weight yet but I'll let you know in a few weeks when I go to the doctor for my 4 month check up. I can't wait to play with you when we come visit!!

More from S. Olice

By the way, the 'S' stands for Super, Cousins. Today I got weighed and I'm at 17 pounds, 6 ounces and I'm 25-1/2" long. Can you top that, Daniel? I had to get my last RSV shot which is especially made for preemies (which I'm obviously not any longer) but I didn't complain as much as the last time or two. I found I can stick out my lip just as far a my mom can, though. Hee Hee. It's a good 'attention-getting' trick if you haven't tried it yet!

Chillin' in the Nursery

Hey Garrison and Daniel,

I've been looking at y'all's pictures, and y'all seem pretty alright. Maybe we can chill sometime. I hear y'all are coming this summer. I think that'll be fun! By the way, Daniel, have you tried one of these exersaucers? They are clutch.

See ya Guys, Olice

p.s. Later I'll try and blog some pics of me on my other new toy...the johnny jump up. Maybe then I can report my weight and length because my mom says I'm going to the doctor today.

Pics of Daniel and Garrison both at 3 months

GARRISON--3 MONTHS

Daniel. He's starting to look like himself now, I think. No more clone. His weight is probably around 16 lbs? Just a guess. He is growing out of 3-6 stuff and is fitting into 6-9 months.

Garrison at 3 months...what a chunk. This was taken when Nana and Papa came out for graduation. I think he weighed around 17 or 18 lbs. Maybe Heavy-D is catching up!!

Olice at Six months old

Here are some pictures of your six month old Nephew/Grandson...whichever applies. He was 6 months on Feb. 28 and he weighs 16 pounds 9 ounces. Debbie Jo, one of his nurses in the NICU gave him a little 'gator that was once the same size as him. I thought y'all would like to view his 'timeline of growth with the 'gator' as a celebration of his six month birthday. The 'gator is like a growth chart for us. One pic though is in the nursery with Oma...finally smiling for the camera. Blogged by his proud mom, Nancy

Bird Hunting in Colorado

Aren't you glad for your heater? Here are some very cold pictures of Todd's last bird hunting trip.

Summer in Crested Butte

These are some pictures of some of our camping/biking trips in Crested Butte last summer. Haven't done anything terribly exciting since then except nude incline hiking with Nance and Reid and skiing with Will, Dan, and Thomas where the camera battery froze on us. So, here are some pictures of greener times in Colorado! -S

South Carolina Sisters

Hey guys! i finally figured it out! Woo hoo! So i'm at work right now, so i can't post long, but i wanted to tell you that Nanni and I have had quite a fun last week or so... unfortunately for her, Reid has had to stay in Clemson to work on a project (but it's due today, yeah!) so she was stuck at home with most of the clan. We have been South Beaching it like rock stars, and cooking delicious dinners for all to enjoy. Anywho, we'll see if we have any results later this week!
This picture is from Valentine's Day... I was showing off my new suit and Nanni was rocking out her "going-to-town" jacket that is quite snazzy. She also cooked gourmet omlettes for breakfast for us!
More later... Shinny bin, where are you? :)

Olice - Feb., '06

As everyone can tell, Olice is turning into a chunky, cuddly little baby boy now. He can not sit up on his own yet but he will smile and even laugh when the camera is out of sight; and he loves to experiment with the noises that his very own tongue can make. His hands will often reach for toys on his buggy or car seat and sometimes he even puts them into his mouth! He is a very contented little fellow but don't leave him on his tummy too long or he'll let you know he's aggravated. That will change when he realizes how much fun it is to flip and later crawl. It won't be long!!

Teddy's Cousin Fools Around
After several pairs of hands crocheted
these little hats for the preemie babies in
the hospital, Teddy's cousin checked out one of
his favorite books from the library and posed
for this picture. Thanks go to both the

CRAZY DOG

Hey, I'm a little disappointed in you, S, D, N, & T...why aren't you posting? I want to hear what is happening in YOUR exciting lives...way more glamorous than mine. :)

What Garrison is Into

Meet Scoop, everyone's favorite Digger. Well, at least G-love's favorite digger. We have a Scoop now, thanks to a hand-me-down, and it is perhaps his favorite toy right now. Just this afternoon after lunch, Scoop was transporting little balls of red and green playdough "dirt" around the kitchen table. What fun!

These diggers have become quite the obsession--they are right up there with trash trucks. So much so, that my dear husband spent part of his day off last week taking the 2 year old to the "digger store." G is still talking about it! When we said our prayers that night, we had to thank God for the digger store.

We went to the doctor today. G is 31 lbs and over 3 ft tall, and D-heavy is now 14 lb, 8 oz (90%) Both are very healthy, and G would love to show you his new teeth in the back of his mouth. Too cute.

These Boots Were Made for Dancin'

These Boots Were Made for Walking!
Nancy and I couldn't wait to get a picture of 'little Reid' in his new boots. Susannah brought them over and is definintely delighted with the fashion statement they make - even with the tags still on!

Trash Obsession

Well, my oldest son has a trash obsession. Most of you witnessed it over the holidays. Whenever a trash truck is even close to our street he can hear it and runs to the door yelling "dash duck" over and over again. I have to say it's pretty cute and I have a new appreciation for our trash men. Especially when they wave at him and honk the horn. That can really make a 2 year old's day.

Well, I'm only fueling the obsession, I'm afraid. I finally ventured out to the grocery store by myself on Monday, not thinking I had a lot to get. I stuck Baby Naniel in the carrier on top of the seat in the buggy and plunked G-Money in the back. When I was about half-way through with my shopping needs, I hear "mommy, help me" coming from the back of the cart. I look to find sweet G-love under boxes of cereal and cans of soup trying to make more room for himself. I had no option but to take him out. (That's a pretty frightening thought, having a two year old running loose in the grocery store, especially for me who loves to be in control.) Well, have no fear, I preyed upon his love for the trash trucks. G-Money became a trash man and rode on the back of the buggy (remember how we used to love that? Hanging on and wanting mom to push us faster??) He helped me put various items of "trash" into our "dash duck" and hasn't stopped talking about it since. I'm so thankful for this little trick. We used it again today at Wal Mart and he LOVES it. Hope it lasts!!!

How in the world did mom shop with 5 of us under 10?? I don't even think the 2 carts we had to fill up could handle us. Yikes.

Two of Four Generations of Baker's

Hey Everyone!
I'm hoping this could be a fun way to stay in touch. It kind of reminds me of that "note" notebook mom used to keep by the lamp on the table by the back door. Do ya'll remember that? We had to write down where we were going, and when we were coming back, and whatever else we thought was important. I know mom used it for job assignments for all of us when she was out running errrands. I wonder what happened to that? Anyway, I just thought it would be fun to keep up this way, plus it's a fun way to share pictures and stuff.
It was so fun to have ALL of you over the holidays. It wasn't the same on Christmas not being at 101, but I'm just glad some of us could be together. I'm thankful for all of you.

love,
boone

Maybe we should each post in our "colors"...just for old times sake. :) ha!!!
